About New Grad Resume Hub
We build practical, ATS-friendly resume resources for computer science seniors and recent graduates who are applying to their first software engineering roles.
Why we exist
Most resume advice online is written for experienced professionals with years of work history. New grads face a different challenge: how do you compete for software engineering interviews when your strongest experience is coursework, class projects, hackathons, and maybe one internship?
We created New Grad Resume Hub to answer that question with templates, examples, and tools built specifically for new grad software engineers. No generic career advice. No fancy resume designs that confuse ATS parsers. Just clean, recruiter-tested formats that help you get from application to interview.
What we offer
- ATS-friendly resume templates — single-column layouts with standard fonts, clear section headings, and keyword-ready structures.
- Resume examples library — fictional but realistic resumes for new grad SWE, backend, ML/research, and no-internship scenarios.
- ATS resume checker — upload your resume and get feedback on formatting, keywords, and missing sections before you apply.
- STAR bullet analyzer — paste your project bullets and improve them with the Situation–Task–Action–Result framework.
- Blog & guides — practical articles on writing projects, choosing a template, and preparing for the job search.
Our approach
We focus on what actually matters for new grad SWE hiring:
- ATS-first design. Recruiters and automated systems scan resumes in seconds. Our templates use layouts that both can read easily.
- Projects over experience. When you have limited internships, your projects become the proof of your skills. We help you present them with impact and context.
- Quantified bullets. Every example emphasizes numbers, scope, and outcomes because vague descriptions get ignored.
- No fluff. We avoid generic career advice and focus on the specific decisions new grad software engineers need to make.
Who this is for
New Grad Resume Hub is designed for:
- Computer science seniors applying to full-time software engineering roles
- Recent graduates with zero, one, or two internships
- Students transitioning from research, bootcamps, or self-taught projects into SWE jobs
- Anyone who wants a resume that passes ATS filters and gets read by a human
